The Barley Mow is a beautiful country pub, hidden in the countryside of the small village of Colehill. This traditional public house is only a few minutes’ drive from Wimborne Minster. This family friendly pub is run by Karen and Barrie Cambridge and their daughter, Lucinda.”

The Barley Mow dates back to the 16th Century, and originally it was a drover’s cottage. The history and character of this Inn can be seen throughout the building with a thatched roof, log burning fires, and exposed beams amongst many other characteristic features.

You will always be greeted by a warm welcome whatever the purpose of your visit, whether this is for a business lunch, or a family meal; a romantic dinner or even a few drinks with friends. We also welcome dogs and there is room to tether horses.

We are proud to serve award winning Badger Ale, fine wines and hearty pub food with a modern twist. All can be perfectly enjoyed in our large garden during a nice summers evening or around one of our log burning fires during the colder months.

We also cater for larger parties including birthdays, family gatherings, weddings and wakes, and outside events in the extensive grounds.
